COVID IN SCHOOLS:

If you receive an email that there is a positive case in your child's school, we request that the entire family not come to the facility until 24 hours have passed and you have not heard about the case any further, indicating your child was not deemed a close contact. If your child was a close contact, please do not come into the facility until the whole family has tested negative.

Junction Development Program

Our development program is focused towards youth who are interested in improving as climbers with the potential to enter the competitive stream or simply progress through the sport as passionate lifelong climbers. This program is not geared towards first-time climbers. The program sessions are divided by age, based on competitive climbing categories determined by birth year, and ability, as explained below.

Skill Levels:
This program is designed to have skill-based levels per age category and placement will be determined by our staff. Any child new to our youth programming must start at level 1. Our instructors reserve the right to move your child into a higher or lower level based on their climbing development and/or if they believe your child would perform better in a different level. Since this may involve switching class days, you will be contacted before any changes are made.

Funding for low-income families:

Please view our Funding Resources page for how to apply for funding to cover the cost of our programs.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations up to two weeks in advance are eligible to receive their 50% deposit back. Any cancellation after this time will result in forfeiture of the 50% deposit. Registration for programs is limited to the specific day chosen. It is your responsibility to attend your selected program and alternate make-up days will not be provided. In the event of youth programs being cancelled by Junction Climbing Centre, you may be eligible to receive a prorated refund (minus the deposit) or a credit to your account (minus the deposit) for the number of classes that were cancelled. Please note that with the ever-changing regulations due to COVID-19, Junction Climbing Centre may have to cancel classes at short notice. We will try to communicate with you about any changes as far in advance as we can.
