COVID IN SCHOOLS:

If you receive an email that there is a positive case in your child's school, we request that the entire family not come to the facility until 24 hours have passed and you have not heard about the case any further, indicating your child was not deemed a close contact. If your child was a close contact, please do not come into the facility until the whole family has tested negative.

Junction's Recreation Program

Our recreation program is aimed at youth who want to climb on a regular basis with other youth around their same age. It's best suited for youth looking for regular exposure to climbing - excellent for those who want to climb with their siblings or friends. This program places a greater emphasis on climb time over structured lessons or games. Our instructors may teach some basic climbing skills if time allows but the primary focus will be to maximize climb time. All climbing equipment is provided during class time.

We will be running two age groups with at least one session running nearly every day:

  • A to C age categories (youth born between 2005 and 2010)

  • D to F age categories (kids born between 2011 and 2016)

Funding for low-income families:

Please view our Funding Resources page for how to apply for funding to cover the cost of our programs.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations up to two weeks in advance are eligible to receive their 50% deposit back. Any cancellation after this time will result in forfeiture of the 50% deposit. Registration for programs is limited to the specific day chosen. It is your responsibility to attend your selected program and alternate make-up days will not be provided. In the event of multiple weeks of a youth programs session being cancelled by Junction Climbing Centre, you may be eligible to receive a prorated refund (minus the deposit) or a credit to your account (minus the deposit) for the number of classes that were cancelled. Please note that with the ever-changing regulations due to COVID-19, Junction Climbing Centre may have to cancel classes at short notice. We will try to communicate with you about any changes as far in advance as we can.

Inclement Weather Policy:

If an evening of classes needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather (blowing snow, ice, road conditions, power outages), an email will be sent out by 4:00pm to the email provided on registration. We will be taking cues from TVDSB, Western University and Fanshawe College about cancellation of evening classes. There will be no makeup classes or refunds in the event of inclement weather.
