Summer Day Camps

Junction summer day camps provide a week full of fun and adventure! Participants will have an experience they will never forget as our friendly staff lead them through a mix of climbing, games, and skill teaching that will benefit kids mentally, physically and socially. Junction’s focus on positive support and personal challenge will have them reach new new heights in this exhilarating sport.

Summer Day Camps at Junction offer:

  • Indoor rock climbing and bouldering

  • Climbing games and challenges

  • Teamwork and individual activities

  • Weather-dependent outdoor activities, including time at nearby Boyle Community Centre Park

  • Kid-friendly movie (full day camps primarily - half day may drop in to watch)

  • NEW in 2024 - Visit to CTC Obstacles on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons (full day camps only)

    • UPDATE: no visit during the week of August 26-30; we will be arranging another outing

  • Pizza lunch will be served on Fridays (both camps - NEW for half day in 2024)

Age Groups and Camp Times:

  • From July 2nd to August 30, 2024 - Junction camps running Monday to Friday:

    • Half Day Camps - 9am to 12pm (for kids born 2016-2018)

    • Full Day Camps - 9am to 4pm (for kids born 2012-2015)

    • Full Day Teens Camp - 9am to 4pm (for teens born 2009-2011)

  • Drop-off times are between 8:30am and 9:00am for all groups. Pick-up times are between 12:00pm and 12:30pm for half day camps and between 4:00pm and 4:30pm for full day camps. Early drop-off (8:00am - 8:30am) and late pickup (4:30pm - 5:00pm) is available for $10/half hour/day and will be paid for upon registration.

  • Single day registration is not available.

Camp Weeks

  • July 2 to 5 - no camp Monday July 1 - Half Day camp (2016-2018)& Full Day camp (2012-2015)

  • July 8 to 12 - Full Day camp only (2012-2015)

  • July 15 to 19 - Half Day camp only (2016-2018)

  • July 22 to 26 - Full Day camp only (2012-2015)

  • July 29 to August 2 - Full Day Teens Camp only (2009-2011)

  • August 6 to 9 - no camp Monday August 5 - Half Day camp only (2016-2018)

  • August 12 to 16 - Full Day camp only (2012-2015)

  • August 19 to 23 - Full Day camp only (2012-2015)

  • August 26- to 30 - Half Day camp (2016-2018)& Full Day camp (2012-2015)

  • Full Day Camps - $340.00 (tax included)

  • Half Day Camps - $230.00 (tax included)

  • 4-day weeks: Half day - $185.00; Full day - $275.00 (tax included)

Funding may be available for low-income families to cover the cost of our camps. Please view our Funding Resources page for more information.

Camp Policies - Please Read Before You Book:

  • Behaviour Policy

  • Payment and Cancellation 2024:

    • Cancellations of any booking must be submitted in writing to alana@junctionclimbing.com before 12pm on the Monday before the first day of camp (ie: one full week before) to receive a full refund.

    • Cancellations inside of that time will receive a Junction gift card for the amount paid, less 50% non-refundable deposit, if your cancellation doesn’t cause the participant numbers to go below 8 kids.

    • If minimum participant numbers have not been reached one full week prior to the start of the camp week, you will be notified (via the email that you provided at the time of booking) that the camp will be canceled, and the amount paid will be refunded in full via the method of payment used on registration. Camp is running unless you are notified by alana@junctionclimbing.com on the Monday before your camp week is slated to start.

    • Summer 2024 cut-off dates for refunds/minimum participant numbers

      • July 2-5 : June 24

      • July 8-12: July 1

      • July 15-19: July 8

      • July 22-26: July 15

      • July 29 - August 2: July 22

      • August 6-9: July 29

      • August 12-16: August 5

      • August 19-23: August 12

      • August 26-30: August 19

    • In the event of a mandated closure of the business due to a public health order (or similar circumstance) refunds will be issued for the prorated amount for the days missed, less the deposit (50% of total cost).

    • Exceptions to the above are wholly and entirely at the Junction's discretion. Junction's desk staff do not have the ability or authority to process refunds for camps. All inquiries for these should go to alana@junctionclimbing.com

    • If your child is signed up for the incorrect camp (i.e.: wrong age group), you will receive an email from our Program Manager that we are cancelling your booking. You will then receive a cancellation email from our booking system and any money paid will be refunded.
